Coaching - what does it look like?

HEALTHY AND HAPPY
Lets start with identifying your goals and importantly your reasons why, and why now. It’s important that we really get to the root of this and understand what is important in life to you and your values and make sure they are aligned to your goals.
 
I will want to know what’s worked for you in the past, what hasn’t worked and how you got to where you are now. We will talk in detail about your current diet and importantly dietary habits. You will tell me where and when you are strong and when it all goes wrong. By the end of the first session I will know enough about you to provide personal support and make you successful. We will also have a few laughs along the way!
 
Each week we will carry out an accountability check-in which means we will measure your adherence to the goals we have agreed. Consistency is key here not perfection. Weight loss is not linear, it ebbs and flows [especially for ladies] so many people lose patience too quickly when the success you couldn’t see was just around the next corner. I will teach you to be kind and compassionate to yourself so you can practice patience while you carry on living your life. I don’t want you ‘on a diet ‘ and putting your life on hold, this is unrealistic and ironically will mean your weight loss journey takes even longer or actually may never be successful.
 
Of course we will discuss and measure progress in terms of weight, measurements, clothes fit, photos but this is not the most important thing. Establishing new habits, disciplines and ways of working will be. As much as looking better this is about you feeling better, improved motivation and zest for life, moving more easily and sleeping well. I will show you how to trust and enjoy the process and the results will take care of themselves.

We all work better and achieve more when we feel accountable to someone else and crucially are supported well. Making any change is hard and can be a lonely place – but it doesn’t need to be any more! I am here for you every step of the way. I will be as invested and eager for your success as you are. You will constantly have a positive voice in your head which encourages you to show up for yourself, make the best choices and see success as not only possible but inevitable.

I will provide healthy challenge always matched with motivational and uplifting support.  As your coach I will keep you on track at the difficult times, when otherwise you may have thrown the towel in, reminding you of your goals and the all important why.
 
I wont expect perfection, far from it, I’ll expect slip ups and bad days.  However, you really are the average of all of your actions……so as long as you are better than last week or last month we are winning at your new life!  We will be less concerned with the speed of your travel and more concerned with heading in the right direction consistently.
 
People can achieve great things with a high level of support, reassurance and accountability – this is what I can give you.
